Animals  Live on Water & Land

Title: Animalandia

Goal: The students will showcase their knowledge differentiating animals that they see living on water and land and provide semi-authentic habitat for animals.

Covered Competencies:

  1. distinguish the animals that live in land and water;

  2. design a plan for the animals’ habitat; and

  3. produce a diorama that shows the habitat of animals that live in water or in land

Task: The class will be divided into 4 groups with 7-8 members each. The first two groups will be assigned in animals that live in water and the last 2 groups will be consigned to animals that live on land.

You are a group of intern engineers/architectures in a community. The Philippine Animal Welfare Society (PAWS) and Bureau of Fisheries and Aquatic Resources (BFAR). The said organizations are asking for your help to build a habitat for the animals that live in land and water.

The students will have to:

  1. State the objectives of the program.

  2. List down examples of animals that live in land and water.

  3. Plan the design of your diorama.

  4. Create your own diorama.

  5. Present the diorama in the class.
