Title: Alumni Homecoming

Goal: The learners should be able to demonstrate understanding of the concepts of bar graph and realize the importance of graph in our daily life.

Covered Competencies:

  • collect data on two variables using any source;

  • organize data in tabular form and presents them in a single/double horizontal or vertical bar graph;

  • interpret data presented in different kinds of bar graphs. (vertical/ horizontal, single/double bars); and

  • solve routine and non-routine problems using data presented in a single or double-bar graph.

 

There is an event in your school this coming summer! As the celebration of the 10th anniversary of your school, all alumni must come to the party!  You are assigned to present the different alumni batches in the 10 years span and discuss the difference in each batch. As you remembered the use of a bar graph way back your elementary days, you decided to use it! Gather the data of how many graduates from batch 1 to batch 10 of your school and make different representations of graph (bar graph, line graph, etc.) of it. Put it on the poster and prepare to discuss it to the most prestigious event of all time!
