Title: Caring for the Major Organs
Grade 4, 2nd Quarter
Goal: The learner should be able to demonstrate understanding of the proper care of internal organs of the human body.
Objectives:
At the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

identify ways on how to take care of different internal organs of the body

explain the importance of practicing proper health habits

apply the ways of taking care of the internal organs in everyday life
Materials and Resources:

Illustration/Picture of different Internal Organs, Strip of paper, box, Whiteboard Marker, Computer and Projector
Motivation:
Activity Title: Healthy or not?
1. Show pictures of a healthy pupil and a sick child. Draw pupils reaction: (write their answers on the board).
Describe picture A and picture B
What can a healthy child do? What about a sick child?
Are you healthy?
2. Say: What are the different major organs of our body? Let us find out how we can protect our internal organs to become healthy and fit.
Lesson Procedure:
During this lesson, the teacher will use ACES Approach where in it makes the learner become aware of himself, his assets and liabilities.
Before starting this lesson, the teacher will let the students to have an activity.
Group Activity:
1. Divide the class into 6 groups.
2. Each group should have an illustration of an internal organ and answer this question: How will I protect this internal organ?
3. Let them collaborate and make a list on how to protect the assigned internal organ to the group from ailments. Let them write it each on a strip of paper and roll in crosswise. All groups should drop their answers on a bowl.
4. During the game, the pupils will form a line. All illustration of internal organs will be placed at the board. A member of the group will get a strip of paper that contains way/s to protect a particular internal organ. She/he will then, tack the paper strip on the picture or illustration of the organ being cared.
5. The group who gets the most number of correct answers will win the game.
After doing the activity, allow them to share their answers. Check the answers of pupils. Refer to background information for teachers using the table below:
After that, ask them what are the common ways in caring the different organs? And Let them make a list. And ask them how do our health practices affect our body?
To end the lesson, the teacher will show a picture that is related to the lesson. The students will give their own insights about the quote.
